Truck Valves — Grommet-Seal for Aluminum Wheels (TR540 & TR550 Series)

Reading the TR540 / TR550 codes: the letter after the number is the bend angle — C = 45°, D = 60°, E = 75° (TR546G is the one exception on our shelf, at a 36° bend). No letter means straight. The TR540 series (542–546) and TR550 series (552–555) are both grommet-sealed valves built for aluminum truck wheels with a 9.7mm (0.380") valve hole — the 550 series is the newer, upgraded grommet formulation (better sealing life, corrosion resistance and heat range) replacing the older 540 series, not a different wheel fitment. So TR544D vs. TR554D are the same bend and the same wheel application; TR554D is just the newer-generation valve. Bend codes on our straight steel-wheel valves (the TR570–575 family above) run on their own numbering and aren't part of this C/D/E pattern — check the degree listed on each one.
